He is also the founder of Picks, a groundbreaking tech startup. Joel’s expertise lies in what he terms the “bootstrap quick-to-market ground-up product development approach,” a methodology he has consistently employed over the past decade. This approach has resulted in the incubation of numerous globally acclaimed consumer goods products, including tableware innovations like the Oak Bottle and the Levitating Cup, as well as groundbreaking developments in the medical and supplements industries.

Joel’s remarkable ability to swiftly and cost-effectively bring profitable products to market is a testament to his unwavering determination, audacity, intuition, and impeccable timing. He brings a wealth of experience from his recent role as a Sourcing Manager at Walgreens, where he played a pivotal role in optimizing the company’s supply chain and sourcing strategies. In his spare time, Joel serves as a mentor at the mHUB Innovation Center in downtown Chicago. Joel’s academic journey took him to the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada, where he graduated with an honors Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. He furthered his education by earning a Master of Business Administration from the Odette School of Business in Canada. In addition to his numerous inventions and product successes, Joel has played a pivotal role in the transformation of iconic companies such as Navistar, Sears, and Walgreens. His contributions have spanned business transformations, global branding initiatives, and product development.
